Bridgwell has to be the guy who stops the losing streak. I would never imagine saying Parker Bridgewell has to be the guy in the starting rotation to do that. But he has pitched well so far and he can show the Orioles that they made a mistake by letting him go.

A question I'd like to hear asked of Scioscia:

"Mike, could you tell us why Albert is in the 3-spot, night after night, when he's hitting .204 since June 1st, and a horrific .138 over the last 13 games with a .463 OPS? Can you please explain that?"

You just can't justify playing Pujols over Revere. I get how ridiculous that sounds but Revere has been hot as hell lately

The real reasons Pujols is stuck in the 3-spot are that he's a future Hall of Famer, and we owe him a ton of money over the next four, long years. And...Scioscia.

I don't advocate benching him, but please move him down a bit in the batting order. Come on....

Just noticed that a report in Sports Illustrated ranks the food safety in MLB ballparks. The safest place to eat, apparently is Safeco. Angels Stadium ranks 23rd and Doggy Stadium is 25th. It's based on health inspections and the numbers of violations, especially critical violations. Fenway, Minute Maid, Coors and Chase round out the top 5.
