It's just really hard to rebuild without blowing it up....the Cubs and Astros right now,  the Tigers 12-15 years ago...seems maybe you need to be really bad first to be really good later....

We don't have anything to rebuild with.

It's a 'tread water and see if we get lucky with FAs and waiver claims until we can spend ourselves into contention while we have Trout' strategy.
