I suggested this last year. In order for it to happen it would almost have to happen in the off season and by then most on here will be running around with pitchforks, myself included if I keep seeing uninspired baseball.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Scioscia goes back to his org, and we get a fresh perspective in the manager's seat and maybe a decent arm.

After sleeping on it, I now realize that if he is traded in the off-season, we still avoid additional years of this.

I would gladly settle for Butcher going now, and then do the trade in the off-season.

Maybe we even get an earlier protected first round pick in 2014 at this rate.

I think it was Rodger Lodge who was talking about if we get rid of Scioscia who is good enough to replace him. I mean if we got La Rusa I would be ok with it but yeah. There is nobody decent that I would want to replace him.

Yes, you can.  The #38 pick is one of the lottery picks which can be traded.

That's a horrible reason not to move forward.  When we took on Scioscia as manager he was unproven and a risk.  Time to do that again.  No retread managers, get somebody fresh in the organization.
