The other was when he pinch hit with Ben Revere with 2 outs and the tying run at the plate in the 9th. With the popless Escobar on deck we were hoping to string together 3 hits in a row. Assuming all is right with Marte (he did make the team right?) it made far more sense to go with the guy with a chance to tie the game with one swing.

Of course there is a very good chance we still lose, and the real issue was the useless bottom of the lineup. 

There's two schools of thought here ... typically a road game you play for the win and not a tie. Going with Revere who's been on fire and also a LH bat in that situation was a good call imo.

having said that - if Halos have a win total like last year's -- a below .500 season -- well, not sure he gets fired but a kick upstairs could happen.

It hasn't been a decade and a half for Scioscia. We were in the ALCS in '09 and came close to another World Series appearance.

So really only seven years of frustration. But there's been little to cheer about since then.
