Softball Meet up?

I was watching the Chicago softball league near the park where I am summering and those dudes had giant coolers full of beers and were pounding in the dugout.

I don't know of any parks in OC where that would be permitted.

Also, of note, is that in Chicago they play rec softball with a larger ball and no gloves.  Apparently broken fingers are common.

I never thought I'd say it but the longer I'm out of California, the more I realize what a f***in' disaster it is, and how much better life can be elsewhere.

Depending on when I could get out there and play.  Pulled my left quad playing in a tournament three weeks ago.  Then tried to play in a one day tournament last week.  I was able to play but strained it again.  I wasn't able to play the outfield because of the running so I played a below average 2nd base.

I played softball in Omaha with a few guys from Chicago. They were shocked to learn that we didn't use the larger ball. Just a weird cultural thing.
