No but this will be the 6th straight time Bandy has caught Shoemaker, so I'm guessing this was also a factor.  I'm sure in your eyes it's more to do with Scioscia being dumb.

There are those that will always complain about Scioscia no matter how flimsy the argument.

Yogi had Elston Howard to share the load in day games after night games, but most of Yogi's games were day games and he traveled for most of his career by train east of the Mississippi.

As a young Angels fan in the 70's (and Dodger hater) I was also a fan of the Big Red Machine. In those days there weren't as many games broadcast on tv so I always looked forward to the Saturday game of the week which often featured the Reds. And I remember being constantly disappointed because Johnny Bench was always getting his day off after a night game. Same thing with Thurman Munson when it was the Yankees. Or Fisk and the Red Sox......
