First Skaggs, Then Heany, Now Richards. Coincidence? Or does this problem lie within the training staff and their approach with young pitchers?

Do you have any data besides the fact that the three are on the Angels' roster? Do you think the Angels' training staff approach blows out UCL's in 100 innings flat?

  • Skaggs spent significant time in the Diamondbacks system before his injury in his first season on the Angels MLB roster (113 innings pitched with Angels.)
  • Heaney is a product of the Marlin's farm system (111.2 innings pitched with Angels.)

Your supposition seems unfounded.

You can't blame those injuries on the medical staff.

But our medical staff still is terrible.

This may be true, I don't follow other clubs closely enough.  If ours is bad then Texas must have the worst, because they had a terrible amount of injuries over the last 3 years.

This is what happens when you trade for young pitchers it seems.

we should never trade for young pitchers ever again.

also, why are so many people blaming the medical staff? When I go into the doctor with a hemorrhoid I don't blame him for my condition. it's just wear and tear, man. it happens.
