The Angels aren't the only offense Latos has fooled this year. He has the 3rd lowest ERA in the majors and has been generating a lot of weak contact. Not sure if it will last but there was a time when Latos was a #1-#2 starter. 

 

P.S: New here. Been looking for an Angels forum since I am living in Texas these days.

Pitching can be very fickle ...players constantly make adjustments. Apparently he's found something that's works. There's no reason he can't continue to be successful this season.

except Latos came to Angels after being released by the Dodgers.  In other words he sucked before he come to the Angels.

Doubt the guy wanted to be that far down our depth chart (at the time) and the Sox offered him a better chance.

I still remember the Latos we found out back behind Dodgers Stadium that gave up a huge homerun against Hamilton the first game he pitched for us last year.

Latos was 4-10 last year with an ERA close to 6. He sucked before and with the Angels. Maybe he figured some stuff out this season but I believe he is playing above his head just like many of the Halos are playing below their's

Because when guys like you bring this stuff up it is to make the Angels seem incompetent, which is total bullshit in just about every single case. Kazmir came here as damaged goods and a pot head. He quit the game for a year or two, came back, got his act together and pitched well again. Colin pitched ok here but not great. He went somewhere and got a procedure done on his elbow or shoulder that wasn't allowed in the US then got busted for PEDs.

My issue is exactly what I said it was which is you paint it as incompetence by the organization rather than the player lacked personal accountability.

So, who has left the Angels in the last ten years that was struggling and immediately went on to have continued success?
