I'm a C.J. Cron supporter, always have been... That said, he looks like shit at the plate so far in the early parts of the season.

He seems to be exactly like Trumbo in that he is so streaky. Hopefully he figures it out before he gets sent down.

He has never hit like Trumbo ... potential is possibly there.

Cron looks like the classic "quad-A" type, a player who will mash in AAA, hit maybe .290 with 30+ HR, but falls substantially in the majors and may never be able to really hold his own with major league pitching. I still think the best case scenario is that he turns into a slightly higher average, lower power version of Trumbo--maybe .270/.800 with 25-30 HR--but that is far from a guarantee.

It's still early and we have seen some signs of life, but come on, its 7 games into the season, and on the bright side, we are .5 games out of 1st!

I know he hasn't. At least not yet. He might never. But he is comparable to Trumbo. Both power hitters with bad plate discipline, who can't get on base

After being sent down to AAA and returning last season he went on a hot streak, too bad he can't get hot and stay hot. To be fair Trout isn't hitting very well at the moment either. Trout usually starts the season off slow.

I favor some patience with C.J. It's the second Tuesday of the season and today is Game 8.

The thing about Cron is that even when he's hitting he's not a very good ball player. He can't run or field and is at best a .310 OBP guy. I'd try to trade him for some young arms like we did with Trumbo if possible

I think the window tp trade has passed. Not that he still cant turn a corner and i hope he does. But i see him as a guy someone would claim if released, not really someone anyone would give up anything real for.

Thing is, he has to look good to at least be enticing to other teams. Trumbo showed that he had legitimate big power and even made an All-Star team one year. Cron hasn't shown anything

Kron is a wasted at bat and a liability out in the field.

 

I don't know what the Angels or anybody sees in him.

 

As far as I'm concerned he's Wood 2.0 with just as terrible of a swing.

Cron has had two good half seasons, 1st half of 2014 and 2nd half of 2015.

Wood never hit in the time he was with the MLB club.

Trumbo is the best comp possible.

end of the week to come out of this and he will be sitting or sent down.     navarro around??    cron is an absolute zero now and he looked so good coming out of ps last year...decent 2nd half last year and the team got snookered into thinking they had 2016 covered.      we in no way can win the div this year with that hole    

 

good thing is LF, C   position producing better then last year or appears to be.    they were both zero's last year
