Maybe during the season if both teams are desperate for what the other has. Otherwise why bother? I don't think either player will contribute much this year.

The issue with this swap hasn't really been CJ for Either it's CJ who is signed through 2016 for Ethier who is signed through 2017 and is due 17.5M next year.  I don't think the Angels should be looking to add a guy who will be 35 next year making 17.5M.
