You both win the "tin man" award... congrats; sleep well.

 

Though this is a total set-up from the start, I think most people would react decently towards the guy.  The woman brings him in, and asks the bartender to give her "friend" something to eat as she plops-down her $20.  I would have been thinking that she knows this guy, and helps him out from time to time.  The bartender is stealing when he takes the money from him.  I would've called him on that easily, and waited to see what happened next.

 

I did have a smile on my face watching it, knowing that there are some good folks out there.

LB, if it takes 20/20 to do a 9:00 piece to either A) open your eyes to the issues of our country or show you that there are good people all around, I think you need to spend a little more time out in public.

If you're observant enough you will see the good in people all the time, whether it is someone who allows the older gentleman ahead of him in line at the barber shop or the person that gives up their seat to a woman on public transportation.

I don't need ABC to come up with a contrived situation of actors to alert me to the plight of our down and out or show me that people are compassionate.
