He is their worst nightmare: A man in a position of respect with impeccable character plus the education to back up what he says.

Not only a man of faith but also a man of science. He doesn't deny the big bang or evolution, either.

The congressman who is boycotting the Pope's visit tomorrow calls the message about climate change "false science." To outright deny it is pure ignorance.

Glen found an article about some congressman that is boycotting his visit because he is talking about Climate change and Cuba instead of Christian persecution in the West and some other absurd stuff.

 

I like this Pope, he is progressive and really seems like he wants to positively change the world.  More than just a figurehead.

The Mexican in me worships Salma Hayek. 

 

 

But in Mexico they worship the Santa Muerte, which means they are devil worshipers and so is this Pope. This Pope needs an exorcism and has ties to ISIS, there are albino Muslims you know.  Cons are right, he is coming to kill us all.

Liberal Pope has me feeling like a hypocrite because I'm not religious and yet I like him and his message.  Remember that good time after he was selected (Elevated?  I forget what the correct word is.) and fellow liberals like me were bitching and moaning about how terrible his record was?  Good times.

I know many Catholics who see it differently, but the Pope is still just a person.  Fallible and able to change his opinions over the course of time.

 

Regardless, he seems cool enough.  Hope he is Pope for a long time.

I think I'd lend some more weight to his message if he didn't preside over one of the most corrupt institutions on the planet.

 

If he wants to make an immediate change, he needs to challenge his church's idiotic stance on birth control.

They also hoard and destroy historical relics and documents that disagree with their method of worship and the history surrounding it.

 

That is an institutional thing though.  As a leader he certainly seems to have made some positive progress.
