Are you referring to the Latino post above? Is there a majority Latino area in orange county that votes for the more conservative candidate? If not,then its not that dumb, is it?

One correction is that the relevant number as far as elections is percentage of electorate, not population.

I don't live in every community, but my viewpoint is that OC isn't nearly as conservative as it was in the 80s. It seems that every community has softened its hardcore republican stance except Newport Beach (the uber rich) and Huntington Beach (the nazis.)

I'm not going to deny that there have been incidents like that.  I wouldn't label an entire city as racist because of that.

 

I lived in HB for 25 years so I know a little bit about it.  Years ago we moved there because of the beach and weather but I never really liked the city very much.

 

FWIW we had Jewish and African American neighbors.
