The article says that the voting leads that Royals players have are already verified. Apparently we're essentially headed for the Royals vs. the National League.

With today's abilities to monitor everyone on the internet, why not just make it 10 votes per ip adress?  It gives you and anyone in your household plenty of votes to cast, and makes it difficult for someone to create a 100 different email addresses to stuff the eballot box.

I don't know if it has been proven, but I read something similar to that (can't recall where exactly). I also read that Rex and Phys, who are the Royals broadcast team, encourage the fans multiple times during evey broadcast to vote 35 times from each of their email accounts.

Lol what a joke. The MLB even promotes the phrase "Vote early and vote often" so then it happens, then they pull this shit.

I suspect a group of people who are Kansas fans have grouped together on a fan site, or a site like Reddit, essentially organized a team, and used tons of different email addresses to vote 30 times.

IMO, who cares? All Star game is a joke anyway, and if it's that important to them that they're willing to go to these lengths, so be it.

I feel bad they don't have any other priorities in life, but to each his own. Doesn't change the fact that I still ain't watching!

I wish they'd come up with different criteria besides fan voting, something to keep it humorous and entertaining.  The All Star Game is boring as is.

Yeah, 30 votes per email should hit that 60 million mark pretty quickly. Like in a year or two.
