Things are falling apart in Boston

Ugly loss to Minnesota last night. Last place in the AL East.

John Farrell is running out of answers.

After an 8-4 loss to the Twins that saw the Red Sox relinquish a 4-0 lead thanks to three errors, a failed catch near the wall in left field, two baserunning mistakes and one wrong decision by third base coach Brian Butterfield, the manager tried to describe what might have been the ugliest loss of a Red Sox’ season that has seen plenty of them.

Their pitching is dreadful and they banked on offense and it's not working out. Hanley has been hurt (per usual) and a lot of their guys are getting old and the prospects still haven't really panned out. Don't know how anyone picked them to do anything. Id rather watch our stagnant offense than their pitching

and their record is actually a bit lucky.

If I am the owner or GM of that team, and I see the mental lapses and sloppy play, there is no chance in hell I bring in Cole Hamels.  They spent a kagillion dollars this off season on the likes of Panda and Ramirez and then they are surprised when guys aren't trying that hard?  That's funny.

It's like signing Hamilton and being surprised when he relapses.   :)
