sort of a miss  there -- the highlight reel showed Pujols and Trout --  Bob Starr was long gone by the time those guys joined the Halos.

 

nice to see Bob Starr introduction of the broadcast there even if was only for a moment.

 

KTLA is sort of like the Time Warner situation -- my cable outfit carries KHJ - Channel 9 but not KTLA and the silly programming they have (other than sports).

 

I say NO to KTLA - 5 --- let's stick with what we have which is the ability to tune in Victor Rojas and Gubi each night.

The scene at the end of the OP's video had to be from the evening in 1986 where they clinched the AL West against Tejas, since they talk about when ST opens in February of playing for a night like this one. Plus the clincher in 1986 was on KTLA.

Cheap chicken is a little creepy. He has a beak AND a mouth. Bob Starr was a great local announcer. He was good on baseball but he was incredible on Rams broadcast. Truly painted the picture. I think he replaced joe butitta. Was like replacing rusty water with honey.
