Ugh, this has gotten so out of control.

It makes sense. I mean, the USPS is sitting on huge profits. They've got to spend the money somewhere. Investing in government spying and mail tracking is a good use of their considerable budget.

The fact that no candidates talk about this kind of stuff.  They don't talk about out of control police forces.  They don't talk about civil forfeitures, they don't talk about government infringement of personal property and personal freedoms tells you all you need to know about the circumstances of our country right now.

And if someone were to speak out about it, they'd be a labeled a "traitor" by their opponents and probably the majority of the voters as well.

I still remember the Republican primaries when Ron Paul was actually talking about this stuff and the rest of those losers were literally snickering at him.

easier and less productive to deal with opinion based, moral non-issues like gay marrige and abortion. oh look ebola!

look at what they did to edward snowden. they don't tolerate at all anyone blowing the whistle on their shenanigans. as long as they can keep the electorate in the dark, they can continue to get away with whatever they want.

Between the fallout from 9/11 and the so-called "war on drugs", we have handed over so many personal freedoms that Americans have just become numb to it all.

There's a new documentary out about Snowden called "Citizenfour." It's playing at a local theater out here. I might check it out tomorrow.
