I like the guy ... especially when he played for the Angels. He was a clubhouse leader for the pitching staff ... Weaver said he was a great mentor for him. I don't like commenting on other peoples personal lives ... it's none of my business. I've learned in life that there's always two sides to every story.

Lack slapped us in the face when he left....but so did hamikton (to texas), and no one is holding it against him around here. (Pujols too).

His personal life makes him look like a dbag, but like pimp said, we only heard one side of the story.

As far as the OP's question goes, Lackey's career ended when he went to Boston but I think he will still be pitching for a few more years.

I bet Lackey has regretted leaving the Angels now to follow his dream of being a Red Sux player.  Thank God the Weav loves his hometown and didn't go over the top on negotiations like 99% of the players do.
