But on the bright side, Santiago continues to impress (going off the box score). Id almost written him off for the year, but hes been really impressive the last few months. If he keeps it up were in s better spot than I think some realize. For a playoff series, were gonna have plenty of options, which is huge

Agreed, I was actually thinking he might give Street the day off and go Santiago in the 7th, Jepsen in the 8th, and Smith in the 9th.

No, really the game was lost in the 9th. The Angels had the lead, they lost it in the 9th. All missed opportunities in innings preceding the 9th mean nothing when you have the lead.

I never got bent on Santiago, he had good stuff just seemed to have the one bad inning. He's been solid.

The Game was Lost in the 9th due to Aybar covering the bag on the Stolen Base Attempt with a Right handed hitter up. Which we are taught in Little League that doesn't happen.

 

I was absolutely flabbergasted when I saw the shortstop covering second with a right handed pull hitter at the plate. Horrible fundamental baseball.
