How color blind are you...

Recommended Posts

One thing I've noticed is that I can go along thinking something is, let's say light gray. My wife will then say, oh, I like that green shirt...and suddenly I can see, or at least my brain starts to perceive, that it is a very light shade of green. That happens with browns/olives a lot as well. I'll think something is tan and someone mentions is a light olive and suddenly it looks light olive to me.

Yeah same thing here, I will think some is object is a certain color and just not give it much thought until some one points out it is actually a different color, then I will be able to see that it is fact a different color.

Even though the test said otherwise, I've wondered for some time if I was getting color blind in the red spectrum -- like what happens to many men.

I was helping some friends throw a BBQ and answered the phone when several people got lost finding the house.  I told them to look for the yellow house.  My advice ended up causing a lot of problems because in the eyes of the women, this house looked more orange to them.

We debated it later and most of the men considered it yellow, while most of the women said orange.  Weird, eh?  It's hard to replicate the color on a computer screen, but here's the best approximation.

That's is yellow. But out of curiosity, do on have any sort of trim on the house that contrasts?
