His delivery causes a ton of stress on his shoulder, so it's not too surprising that the velocity is dropping as he continues to age

 

A drop in velocity is to be expected as a pitcher ages...but to the point where you're throwing 85 mph fastballs at age 30 and now 31? Not good. The days of Weaver being a top of the rotation guy are over.

Yep, it's one of those starts for Weav. Body language sucks, his command isn't there today and he's falling behind on every hitter. He doesn't have long for this one and unless the bats get going this game will quickly be looking like an L

So to be clear...2 home runs v the Astros in two innings and in your eyes it's the ump's fault and you don't want anyone up in the pen because they would have done worse.  I respectfully disagree, it's just looking like he doesn't have it today.
