Some people think it's good to talk about America as a melting pot only when they can get some positive recognition for it. Some people think melting pot means that the new people should have to change drastically while the ones who have been around get to stay exactly how they are.

I guess that is a southern redneck problem and it is apparent in even how Disneyland treats It's a Small World in Orlando and California. In California you get the song in every foreign language as you pass through the ride, in Orlando the entire ride is in English.

 

Let them be assholes and enjoy their America as long as they can't pass any legislation that reflects such a narrow minded view. Meanwhile Coca Cola will be bottled in every continent and hopefully will ignore the a-holes that are making a fuss about this.

still don't know what anyone's upset about. spend time in any airport or downtown area in a city and you'll hear a lot less english than what was in that commercial.

 

heck, go to some parts of kentucky or alabama and you won't hear much english there, either.

That last part never struck me before, but you're absolutely right.
