Revere's high contact and speed, Calhoun's OBP plus pop, and Trout's best player in baseball would be a dynamic 1-2-3.

Not keen on Aaron Hill. He's 33 years old and had a precipitous decline in offense in 2014. He's also owed $24 million.

Cameron Maybin is an interesting sleeper pick. A disappointing career so far, but he's got talent and isn't old - he turned 28 today.

Revere isn't very good imo.  Cowgill walks more and has more power.  

 

If we were to take on the like of hill's salary, we might as well get utley.  

 

Putting Utley between Trout and Pujols would look pretty damn good.

Providing the good Aaron Hill showed up -- he's like a 2B version of Ervin Santana...  

 

Hill has put up an OPS+ of 81 or lower in three of the last 5 years, and in one of the two seasons he didn't suck gas he only managed to play 87 games.   Hill is 33 years old, has passed the 1200 game threshold at 2B, and posted an OPS around .600 away from that band-box in AZ last year.   Too many red flags for my tasts.

Revere is a good ball player, but unfortunately his playing time would come st the expense of Joyce and Cron. Cron's hitting too much to consider taking him out of the lineup and Joyce is LH and gets on base. If the Angels were to go with Revere then it would mean the Angels parted ways with Jepsen for no reason.
