I remember 1978 when the "yes we can" chant started up at angel games. We didn't win our division until the next year but it was exciting as hell. How many remember when it was exciting to go to an angel game?

Another neighbor owned a new Studebaker Lark.

 

We had a console stereo and a console black and white television.

 

When a new UHF station came to town, we had to buy a converter box because our TV didn't have a UHF tuner.

 

I saw the first games ever played (on TV) by the Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins.

 

I saw Roger Staubach play college football and Stan Musial play in a spring training game.

 

I remember the Braves moving to Atlanta.

 

I remember Orlando before Walt Disney World (which opened during my junior year in high school).

 

I had an eight track player installed in my '73 Plymouth Satellite Sebring with proceeds from my first summer job.

 

My first car was a 1968 AMC Javelin - and it was five years old when I got it.

 

I remember watching television until the national anthem played, then the stations shut down for the night.

 

I saw several I Love Lucy episodes when originally broadcast.
