Nice to see both catchers with an above .750 OPS, and to see Iannetta working hard on blocking bad pitches. 

There's probably not much that can be done about his throwing baserunners out, but if he can become solid enough at blocking pitches, framing pitches, and calling pitches, then this platoon may just work out well in the long run.

 

Championship teams have had platoons behind the plate, most notably the aging McCarver and the younger Boone for the 1980 Phillies, granted theres wasn't a strict 50-50 platoon.
