One thing I have noticed this season, outside of the first game, is that the D man aren't out of position as much as they were last season.

The power play is God awful. Can we decline power plays?

I don't understand how the PP is so bad.  I think combining Fowler and Vatanen is a mistake.

 

On another note, the ice was awful for that.  Puck never settled.

Fasth was money

Not the best effort by the Ducks but Fasth helped them to steal 2 points.  Last 5 minutes of the 1st (ironically all on the PP) and the whole 3rd period were pretty bad.  Is there anyone that didn't think Teemu was going to score when he got the puck in open ice?  Love him!

Yeah lower body injury. Anderson was called up.

Seems like Fasth had a couple of lower body injuries last year too.  Something to keep an eye on.  Could be why they haven't traded Hiller yet.

Great win tonight, really digging Silfverberg, kid is a stud.

So, the tickets I had were about 10 rows up right behind the Coyotes goal.  

 

All I can say is WTF was that goal.  I don't think the pan shots give that goal justice.  It was like a flutter shot, or totally mishit, that went 8 feet in the air, and you see Getz in front try and head it and totally whiff.  Goalie didn't even see it, since he was busy looking down trying to block it like a regular shot.  

 

Totally an enjoyable game.  Glad we won it, or I would have banned myself from the Ducks game for the rest of the season.

That was Penner in front of the goal.  It was awesome.  Totally lucky but I will take it.

 

Silfverberg is just awesome.  That shot he took to win it was great, he didn't really try to put on any moves or anything, just skate at the goalie and speed of light snap shot.  I swear Smith had no chance, it was in the goal before he even reacted to the shot.

 

Also love how Perry and Selanne were pretty much identical with their shots.  Plus Bones totally fooling Smith.

 

That was an awful game for the Ducks until OT started.  They looked super flat.  All that time spent killing penalties has to take away a lot of energy.
