I hear the "MLB is overrated" all over twitter in Japan.

 

Yeah, this tourney is more for them IMO. I don't think the WBC is big here. I haven't been paying much attention to it at all, and I'm glad the Halos only have 1 person represented in the tourney

 

When I saw JP Arencibia as the starting catcher for team USA, you knew this wasn't that important

Is there another league anywhere on the globe that offers the same level of competition that MLB does?

 

Team USA's lackluster results in the WBC aren't really indicative of the talent level in MLB at all.

meh..... 5-1 Mexico. What the heck? Too bad Verlander, Weaver, Kershaw or Price didn't join up, or Prince Fielder instead of Hosmer.

Monkey is butthurt, as a lot of us fans rooting for team USA! 

 

Oh well, I bet they beat a red hot Italy team tomorrow. I have mixed feelings on this game, but will pull for team USA
