They said yesterday that the USA-MEX game was moved to Chase Field...which is a dome isn't it?

Regarding Yovani Gallardo...he had been bothered by a mild right groin strain that many thought would keep him out of the WBC. He was cleared to start however after visiting doctors recently. He tossed an inning on Tuesday against the D-Backs and stated afterwards he felt good.

 

Gallardo went 16-9 last season with a 3.66 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP

 

During his career, Gallardo is 4-0 in 4 career starts at Chase Field with a 1.48 ERA and a 1.068 WHIP...needless to say he has enjoyed pitching at the venue

Chien Ming Wang has been dealing for Taiwan though. I bet he gets signed to a Major League team once the WBC is over.

Yeah, Wang has had a great WBC so far. no runs allowed in 12.0 IP with a 0.92 WHIP

Taiwan was heck of a team. One of the most nerve wrecking games I've ever seen.

If it was an Angels postseason game, I might have fainted.

Cantu had a big game, and could have been the walk off hero with the bases juiced yesterday.

Here is a question...

If you are like this guy on Italy, who can pitch with both arms, are you allowed to switch around to face different batters with different arms? Go from left to right during an AB?

Seems like it would be within the rules..but anyone know for sure?

I think he actually did that in the past but he faced a switch hitter and they kept switching on eachother so they made a rule where he had to finish an inning depending how he started the inning.

 

Is the guy you are talking about in the Yankee's org? If so I believe they only allow him to pitch left-handed now.
