Yes why not? I'm pretty sure that Angels are already preparing a longterm plan for Mike Trout so if he were to participate and win, he could add that to his resume. He could also pick up more sponsors by marketing himself as a masher. Hosting the All Star Game happens about every 30 years and he's near his hometown. I say let him enjoy the moment.

The HR derby didn't ruin Trumbo's swing last season. He fell back to earth. The proof is in his BA this season.

 

I say, let Trout play. I know a lot of you believe we are still in it. I'm not quite so optimistic. Therefore, let him play.
