Gameday Thread: (8/9/23) Giants @ Angels: Ohtani on the mound

Recommended Posts

Efficient game. Keep the score down on the other side and focus on situational hitting.  The sort of game they need to string together two out of three times like in this series. But Ohtani won't be on the mound most of the time.

I mentioned on another thread that Moustakas is a pro rated team MVP candidate. Big important game changing hits. Competent enough at two positions. A team leader.

And actually happy to be here.

There should be a place for him next year. Even in a reduced role.

Tough times potentially looming in Texas. But maybe the pendulum is now swinging the other way.

"The first two questions by the reporters translated into Japanese by Ippei" and "the answers in Japanese by Ohtani" were each translated into English by Google AI (Bard).

Question:
How do you think about your pitching today? You looked a little bit irritated in the 6th inning.

Answer:
I was not satisfied with my condition throughout the game.

Question:
You slipped off the mound in the 6th inning, and the manager and trainer came to the mound.

Answer:
I think they came to check if there was any problem and to give me some time to catch my breath.

Thank you for these translations, @FromJapan
