The BBs and the lack of Ks lately (just 3 in past 26 PAs) are admittedly a start on the road back.

Just frustrating to see the lack of hits

and the exit velo, combined with coming around on at the time a clutch go-ahead single off a 101 MPH fastball off Chapman.

Bad teams beat good teams sometimes. That's baseball.

It's also just very hard to explain/understand sometimes. Like in this case losing this game without even using your closer who is one of the best right now. I don't see the sense of urgency with these decisions sometimes. Why be greedy enough to try to end it with Devenski there?

The fact that we can't explain it sometimes is what makes baseball beautiful.

True….but that most often happens when the bad team has a good pitcher, which equalizes everything….Mike Mayers is not a good pitcher….he gave up 6 runs in 5 innings…and we didn’t capitalize….

Sure an epic 6 run comeback by a great team can be beautiful to watch. But the Angels just handed this one away. When it's games like these, the manager just looks like an idiot - when it's blatantly obvious that poor choices were made managing the game.
