WIN!

I don't think I have rooted for a WIN harder than I did today.

I made a premature and jinx post in the GD thread.

I should know better....NO I don't believe in jinxes, but I'm really glad they won!

I wanted to actually whack Renigfo after the error, but Estevez dealed!!

A WIN!...5-2 on the homestand...take it!

With all that said Ohtani is capable of a shutout and hitting for the cycle in the same game!

A total mathematical anomaly, but he could.

Would that be the greatest individual performance in the history of sports?

Would it trump Chamberlain's 100, Ali's fights, Gretzkey games?

Who else?

For a team sport, I would go with Bill Walton (UCLA) making 21 of 22 shots in the 1973 NCAA finals.

Kobe's 81 point game against the Raptors

Kobe's 62 point IN JUST three quarters against the Mavs (where the Mavs only scored 61 in that time)

Kobe's 60 point game in his final game in the NBA

Kobe holds NBA record that will never be broken. Most missed shots

While still great performances a few of the basketball examples specifically Chamberlain and Kobe in a couple of those games were fed the ball.

Ohtani throwing a shutout and hitting for a cycle would be all him.

Ohtani throwing a shutout wouldn't be all him.

Bo I hear ya , but with that logic you can attribute any individual performance to extended support people...trainers, coaches, caterers...shit even Mommy and daddy.

At one point it's the individual.
