Just got back from a work meeting... I see the game has resumed after delay... How many innings did Shohei go? Did they talk about why he didn't pitch after the delay? I'm assuming just because it's so cold and getting him warm again would be difficult?

There were 2 delays.

Erasing the individual says for rainout games is kind of stupid.  Those things happened.

It just doesn’t seem that hard to simply not count the game in wins or losses and also let the individual stats remain.

Yes the stats are “meaningless” in terms of those innings mattering in a win or loss.

But let’s be honest, we keep individual stats in 17-1 games where a RF pitches two innings.  So you can’t really make the argument that the stats don’t count in “meaningless” situations.

I know if a hitter got 2 hr in a 4 inning rainout game, it’s sort of unfair that he had the chance to get those extra at bats “outside” of 162 regular games, especially in the context of winning a HR title that year.  But at the same time there are guys that play in tons of extra inning games versus guys that play in fewer extra innings games.  So we already accept one player getting more chances than others as acceptable and “hey that’s what happened.”

The station i was watching switched to different programming but I found it on another of their feeds (TSN 5 in Canada). I see they made it to five, but no Ohtani. His ERA took a mild tweak, giving up a run in a couple of innings but hopefully no physical issues.

Physical issues? Why would you think that?
