He was in significant pain in his shoulder following his last two swings.

it's cold, raining, and we're up 4-0 with our ace. I think O'hoppe is fighting through it but at first he was acting like he popped out his shoulder.. I'd get him out and have the staff take a look at him

That was weird. Seeing that reaction from O'Hoppe after the swing, your first thought is that he popped his shoulder out, but he seems to be fine seeing as he stayed in and roped a single a few pitches later. Maybe just a bit of a stinger from trying to turn on that high 90's inside pitch? In any case, Angels appear to have dodged a bullet. Catcher production would have went straight into the gutter if O'Hoppe had to miss extended time

We knew that when they signed him....I get defense and speed are important but your 4th OF'er should get a fair amount of AB's to keep the regulars fresh….if he can't hit his weight, it's not a good thing....
