Worst part about yesterday's game...

... is today being an off day.

I'd have rather the team didn't start playing until Friday than have a silly off day after opening day.  Imagine how annoying it must be for the players to lose a game like that and then sit around waiting to play again.

Delhi Capitals are favourites with the bookmakers - 3/1 to make the final. Mumbai Indians, Rajastan Royals, and Royal Challengers Bangalore are joint 2nd favourites at 10/3. I think RR are over-priced with Buttler's form being in question as he's such a huge part of their batting line-up (the England captaincy is messing up his game), so I think MI and RCB look the best bets.

It's a very tight competition with the outsiders Kolkata Knightriders and Sunshiners Hyderabad at 9/2.

Chennai Superkings look like a fun team to watch, but I don't think they've quite got the bowling to make a good run of it.

That was my thought as well. Tepera, Loup, Quijada, etc. look extremely hittable.

Worst part for me (besides losing to a minor league team) was getting excited about the 2023 season and seeing pretty much the same thing I saw last year:  good starting pitching, Loup/Tepera sucking and an offense that seems like it should be much better than it is.  
it’s just 1 game but it’s frustrating because a lot of the names changed but the result didn’t.

The worst part for me is knowing that in game two the Angels will hit like ten homers and win 15-1 and you'll think, "just a couple of those in the first game would have been useful!"
