I'll go first...

Mike Trout. Nolan Ryan. Tim Salmon. Vladimir Guerrero.

Good choices - can't argue with them - but, obviously, "Mt. Rushmore/Halo-land" can't be too crowded so we need to find room for: JIM FREGOSI (the first face of the franchise), DEAN CHANCE  (the first Cy Young Award winner and first 20 game winner) and the number ONE guy to be chiseled in stone -- The Cowboy, MR. GENE AUTRY.

If we can’t go Nolan because he went into the hall as a Ranger and if it has to be only players (not Autry or Scioscia).

It’s hard to only choose 4 but I’ll go with, Trout, Salmon, Vlad and Grich

Really hard, I feel like we’re leaving some really deserving Halos off this list.

My finalists:

Autry, Fregosi, Ryan, Grich, Salmon, Anderson, Vlad Sr., Weaver, Trout, Ohtani

Holy smokes, Weaver!  He belongs on there.  AO, that’s a nice group- let’s just expand our Mt. Rushmore to 10.

Salmon has to be one of the 4.  Trout of course.  Now it gets tricky. Vlad makes me smile every time I think of him.  Ohtani definitely if he re-signs and probably even if he doesn’t.  The Cowboy should be there for sure.  Ryan even though some associate him with the Astros.  Weaver- great pitcher and a very cool guy as far as I can tell.  Anderson is underrated for sure.

I had tossed out Fergosi, who was an excellent Angel player and then managed the team https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Fregosi#:~:text=James Louis Fregosi (April 4%2C 1942 – February,New York Mets%2C Texas Rangers%2C and Pittsburgh Pirates.

Having been the Angels’ most productive and popular player for that franchise's first eleven years of play, Fregosi quickly became its first star. He led the American League (AL) in defensive double plays twice, winning the 1967 Gold Glove Award, and, upon leaving the team, ranked ninth in AL history, with 818 double plays. Fregosi holds the franchise record with 70 career triples; several of his other team records, including career games (1,429), hits (1,408), doubles (219), runs (691), and runs batted in (546), were broken by Brian Downing over the course of the 1986 through 1989 seasons.

Fregosi returned to the team as manager, guiding it to its first-ever postseason appearance in 1979, and later managed the Philadelphia Phillies to the 1993 National League pennant.

Salmon, Anderson, Trout, Weaver

Salmon and Trout played their whole careers as Angels. Weaver played all but one year of his career as an Angel and GA all but 2 in his long career.
