Predict the Angels Manager in 2023 (Part Two)

I asked this question last month, but I’m asking it again since it seems like more people have warmed up to Nevin in the last month and I’ve seen multiple people suggest Ray Montgomery.

 

For reference, here were last month’s results:

 

New Manager is Hired from Outside the Angels Org: 63.64%

New Manager is Hired from Within the Angels Org: 4.55%

Phil Nevin is retained as Manager: 31.82%

Common sense says with the sale of the team, and Trout's vocal support, Nevin stays. However, Minasian knows he may only get one shot in his career to hire his own manager. So, who knows if he will, or if he'll even be allowed to?

There should be an options for "it depends on who the owner is / how fast the sael completes".
If we go into ST with Arte still at the helm, it will be Nevin IMO.  A lame duck isnt going to make drastic changes and no one will want to come in under him knowing a change is coming.

Nothing has changed, IMO.  Perry will want his guy running the ballclub, and that is Ray Montgomery.

Is there really anyone who thinks there's any chance the sale is completed before we have to decide on a manager for next season?

Realistically, no.  But one can still hope.
The simple fact is this, if its not, then next season will likely be worse.

Do you realistically expect Arts with spend anything as a lame duck?  He wouldn't go above set budget levels when he wasnt he certainly wont  on his way out the door.

I’m thinking it will be a budget lower than last year.  If we had Syndergaard’s and Iglesias’ salaries to spend that would be sweet, but doubt it happens.
