Been injured so his innings are down, but even with the home runs he still has a 2.94 ERA and averaging 13.5 k/9 after last night

2.12 ERA after his first nine starts this year

Of course the Dodgers figured out a way for him to put together 9 consecutive excellent starts.

Seven excellent starts? Six? Either way, I don't know if he ever strung together more than two consecutive solid performances in his many years with the Angels.

7 starts, 45.2 innings of 1.97 ERA ball in 2015.
8 starts, 51.1 innings of 1.93 ERA ball in 2018.

He's actually had multiple runs of 6 starts and ERA's under 2.40.   Dude should be better than he has been.

Nah -- thats the thing that was always so frustrating with Heaney.  You'd see him cruise be it in a game or for a bunch of starts then the implosion would start and he wouldnt be able to stop it.   The ugly tended to make you forget about the good stuff.

One of the more frustrating players to watch in recent years because you could see the things he did well.

I was going to agree with him, but whatever.
