When conservatism goes off the rails

Recommended Posts

You know I’m not all that bothered by your views but it’s lazy to create a Lib caricature in your brain and rail at that figment of your imagination for every argument. There’s maybe a tiny percentage of people that actually believe in all the crap you pour on this figment. And what’s worse is you convince weak-minded people from the other side like Taylor to do the same thing

Taylor is weak minded but the middle of the two types aren’t necessarily strong minded. I’m pretty libertarian with my views but a lot of these middle of the row Americans need to wake up. Maybe they aren’t passionate about freedom or just don’t care about politics. Either way the middle of the row is less than 10 years from being the next target in these leftist sights. Probably 45% of the hardcore magas were dems 10-15 years ago. The dems tossed the blue colored whites in favor of the alphabet soup and socialists.
Trump isn’t Billy Graham. He was the apple of libs eye for damn near 30 years. He may be a dick but there wasn’t  an extreme policy in his agenda.

Every lib says that but humanism , atheism, and Mother Earth worship , parade as science. Teach creation right along with evolution as theory. Teach that lgbt is choice right along with the science theory. Libs are constantly saying cons don’t want to admit gays exist to justify the lgbt school agenda. Why can’t schools celebrate kids with morals?  Granted I wasn’t looking for the girls that didn’t put out in hs but those girls should be celebrated. It takes a lot more courage for a young kid today to live by biblical standards than it does for a kid to screw someone of the same sex.

Kids are smart, no reason for us to waste everyone's time lying to them.

Aside from the Taylor dig this is actually a good post. I will give you some credit for that. The one thing it's missing, and I know you won't see it this way because of your stance on abortion, but the conservative right has been far more successful at instituting extremist policy changes than the left has been. What has the left actually achieved aside from talk, and of those things how many are instituted on a national level?

It’s hard to pass “extremist” ideologies on the national level but it’s much different at the state level

No. He asked what has the left actually accomplished on the national level but if you ask people 30 or 40 years ago yes, they would say that was extreme

“She walks to the subway station for her government-subsidized ride to work. It saves her considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation.“

Sorry but I doubt this bitch is living urban enough to be close to public transportation and even if she was, I doubt Sue Republican is riding the Red Line with all the crack addicts.

FDR did a pretty significant jump towards socialism. Progressives from the right weren’t innocent with prohibition etc. The lib courts completely redefined separation of church and state defying 200 years of precedent. They legalized abortion. After opposing the real civil rights movement,  libs turned their civil right initiative into a giant socialist welfare program.

Obama and the courts basically worked together to ignore the constitution with Obamacare. They certainly redefined marriage as well. Let’s not forget all the bond holders etc that got screwed when the government took over GM only to hand it to the union.

Covid was a combination of local and National policies but it sure changed the election outcome and violated a shit ton of individual liberties.
