I don't doubt O'Neal's eagerness or enthusiasm to provide some energy, optimism, or even an interest to learn more and be a better broadcaster, but there's just far too much inexperience there. Misreading plays, not actually knowing why something happened, not catching the nuance of the game a typical play-by-play guy would. Even his actual voice isn't bad, though still feels a little too college frat-boy party-on tailgater too me.

Then again, we are Angels radicals/extremists.
