I was making dinner and turned the game on so I could hear it.  

I heard Freeman walk, then steal 2nd, and thought uh-oh, that's a bad sign.  

Just about the time I heard Turner hit the single, we're down 3-0 already and 2 more on-based, I thought to myself "Why do I give a shit about these guys?  Why am I doing this to myself?" 

I quickly changed it to netflix, and ate my dinner in peace.  I checked in around the 7th, heard "no hitter" - and immediately turned it off again. 

The question remains - why do I even give a shit what these guys do?

Being no-hit by the Dodgers would have been the ultimate low.

Last night was barely a level above the ultimate low.

I was at the Big A sitting in the old football stadium seats in center field during the ultimate low as an Angels fan. October 12, 1986.

I was a poor college student in 1986 working my way through school. I did get to sit in the press box for Game 2 of the 1982 ALCS though. My dad lucked into tickets at the last minute.

Official scoring change.  Walsh credited with a single in the 7th to ruin Anderson’s no hitter after 7.  Didn’t need Ohtani’s triple after all.

Yeah, nevermind. I was thinking of the Seattle no hitter when the pitcher didn't jump for the ball and they ruled it a hit.
