I assume it’s because Mike Gallego is now too busy coaching 3B to deal with the infielders so Benji Gil is gonna do it.

bummer about Bengi Gil. I thought we was doing a great job as 1B coach. But it might be for the best after the numerous pickoffs at 1st.

Though, it seems like our runners are still getting thrown out at 2nd, so you have to wonder if the coach even makes a difference at this point. I can’t count the times our guys on 1st have been picked off, too.

Hitting coaches have been crap. These hitters are trying to hit home runs on every pitch. They know zilch about situational hitting. So many called 3rd strikes this season with bats laying on their shoulder. They will never win with this hitting philosophy.

Let’s not forget the “feast or famine” offense this team has. It’s either zero offense or everyone hitting HRs.

i listened to the "hooked on angels" podcasts last week, and they hammered on ohtani for this very thing. they think he always looks like he's trying to drive one into the clouds on each swing.

...and he's usually looking kind off balance, and backing away from the ball.  That said, the past nine games have been better, mostly because he he's remained on balance, and emphasizing controlled contact.
