Oh ok I didn't see the picture I was too busy being mad at the dumb signing.

They either have no faith in Thaiss as a catcher, or they feel he's still a year away developmentally from being a major league catcher. Either way, they may want to consider extending Stassi sooner than later.

If he wore a Biden-Harris hat, would the comment section on MLBTR still be filled with snowflake tantrums?

I dunno.

As for the baseball field, evidently they think Thaiss isn't ready.

I'd be just as annoyed if it seemed like the Angels only signed him because he was a Democrat. He sucks either way.

Thaiss only has like ~400 innings caught since returning behind the plate if I remember. Given how often Stassi gets hurt, it would be extremely risky rolling into 2022 with Thaiss as the second guy in line and pressed into full-time service for a “win-now” team with pitching concerns.

Doesn’t mean they had to sign Suzuki, but they absolutely needed another backstop or two.

Even if he’s ready developmentally that would be a huge ask and risk.

But Suzuki? Ugh.

Great, Angels' GM had months of lockout to analyze needs compared to what's available, and 48 hours after the lockout ends, he brings back Suzuki.  WTF!!!   It's obvious ownership not only limits spending money on his minor league teams, but even the major league too.

Year after year the Angels' no. 1 need is top-shelf, front line pitching, and year after year the best get away and Angels give 1-year contracts to has or never-has been pitchers.  And year after year, an offense that is good enough to do damage come playoff time can't even get there due to the sh1tty starting pitching.  Even Trout and Madden spoke up about it at the end of last season and said it needs to change, yet......

Is there any way we can force a trade of an owner?
