Playoffs are a lottery ticket - the hot team wins - unless you think an 88-win team was the best team in the league last year.

Dodgers have 9 straight playoff appearances, while only the Mariners and the Phillies have gone longer than the Angels without a playoff appearance, despite our spend.

It's in the record books.  It counts.  I think the 2020 season was a joke, too, but the Dodgers did completely dominate the short "regular season" and went 13-5 during the playoffs.  They won the World Series, whether or not you want to acknowledge it.

Here’s the thing about Arte not wanting to raise to luxury tax threshold.

He’a already paying Trout and Rendon over $70 million per season alone.

What happens when Ohtani is a FA 20 months from now?

If Arte is truly against exceeding the luxury tax threshold, what chance is there of keeping Ohtani, if it ends up being $40 million plus per season to keep him?
