i'd kick the tires on melancon. see what money he wants and what role he wants. kind of depends on what we do with iglesias (unless he'd be willing to be a set up guy).

I wouldn't sign him to anything more than a 1-year deal. He seems like the type of guy who could get really bad, really quickly.  He's also a heavy groundball guy with mediocre K numbers.  Unless the infield D gets better next year, that could be a recipe for disaster.
