Crowd was about 60/40, Angels/Padres fans!

That was a much needed breather after a rough 7 game stretch.

Great to see Walsh hopefully emerging from an extended slump

Great to see 5.1 shutout innings from the pen

Great to see Marsh’s OPS climb to .745, time to put him near the top of the order with that .350 OBP?

Great to see Adell’s arm in RF

Does Mayfield get a chance at the starting SS spot in 2022?   OPS is nearing .700, and is better defensively than Iglesias.   And that’s money saved to use for pitching.

Have Suarez either start 2022 in AAA to improve his starts?   Or make into a key guy in the pen, where he’s been solid?

Suarez as starter so far in 2021:

40.2 innings, 25 earned runs, 42 hits, 19 BBs, 35 Ks, 6 HRs
5.50 ERA, 1.50 WHIP

Suarez as reliever so far in 2021:

27.1 innings, 6 earned runs, 21 hits, 9 BBs, 26 Ks, 3 HRs

1.98 ERA, 1.10 WHIP

Good point

He could play 80-100 games next season.

40-60 in the OF depending on injuries  

40 combined at 1B/DH, depending on if he works out more at 1B over the winter and during ST

He seems like a good guy, maybe wouldn’t pout if he is a 4th OF’er or limited AB’s with Trout, Adell and Marsh in the lineup….with the way we get injured, I’d rather have him on the roster than pay him to play somewhere else…plus, Adell or Marsh could still struggle…

Plus he is near his daughter while here, a big factor in his being here.
