For context: I recall as a youth reading where Durocher stuck with Mr. Mays through a career-starting 0-for-51.

Don’t worry everyone. Maddon gave a great speech to his team about needing to hit before the game. We have urgency! And he told the reporters that pitching is a priority! So it’s all good. He did this in the game he brought in Dylan Bundy in a leverage situation. 

It’s pathetic. The ruination of Heaney, Bundy, and Quintana by ghost pitching coach Matt Wise continues.

I knew he was in a slump. It wasn't as bad as I thought. Five games might have been maybe hitless for 20 or so. Half a century or more can blur the numbers.

Heaney has been mostly trash well before Wise ever got involved. Probably Bundy and Quintana, too.
