Tokyo Olympic Games..

To her credit, she's basically owned up to it, says she knew the rules, knew what could happen and did it anyway but it's amazing to see how many people want to blame the IOC and are yapping about it being a racist issue or an attack on their "culture".

Rules don't matter.  Laws don't matter.   It's all about personal feelings and getting what one wants it seems.

Again, she deserves credit for owning it....  but it's crazy to see how many people on Twitter don't.

Also, it's worth mentioning that the IOC doesn't completely prohibit pot, a person would have to be toking right up until the event in order to flunk the tests...

She was left off of the team.

i wonder if something like this and the changes that have come about in some countries about using pot (i have no idea how the world has reacted to legalizing it) might cause the IOC to reevaluate there position on disallowing athletes who have tested positive for it.

besides, anyone who's ever smoked a joint will tell you that the last thing it helps you do is run faster and be more coordinated.
