Pure speculation but I think AP signs with the Red Sox since they're getting no production from the 1B position. In his 27 games (119 at-bats) played at Fenway Park, Pujols batted .269 with five homers, 20 RBI, 12 walks, 28 hits and a .353 on-base percentage.

What about that being past history do you not understand? The last time he played in Fenway was 3 years ago.

Changing stadiums is not changing his current inability to hit for average or get on base. The only thing he is capable of now is swing hard and hope he guessed where the pitch will be.

Now, I hate the Red Sox and would love it if they wasted a roster spot but they are not stupid. They won't be putting a guy on the roster that can't field, run or hit at league average because he used to be good 8 years ago.
