MLB.TV gives you the option to cast, but the LG TV doesn't support casting from MLB.TV.

Even when you cast from Chrome you're really casting from that particular website and the TV needs to support it.

The LG supports casting from YouTube, YouTubeTV maybe others but not MLB.TV.

That’s weird as hell. I’d just find a cheap-o chromecast

Haven't checked in awhile but when you get up into the 75" class the OLEDs are a bit pricey.

I have the 65” (LG) worth every penny. I can’t stop talking about it. Not a fan of Samsung though...I’ve had too many things break from them

I need to get a new TV. Just did a home remodel, and my tvs are about 13 years old, give or take.

Im leaning towards samsung... the 8000 line (if I have that right). I just want to be able to stream amazon prime and vudu in 4K (the movies that are in 4K at least). Is the 8000 line "good enough"? I dont need the best.... my tvs are again, going back to the stock market crash in 2008

Count me as another Samsung fan. The one I use in the (garage) home gym was purchased in December 2009 and has not had one single problem. In my bedroom is a two-year old Samsung, likewise no problems.

In the den, I wanted a 70"+ TV and I bought a Sony because it was on sale for several hundred dollars less than the equivalent Samsung model. There are quite a few issues with it. I will probably never stray from Samsung again. I would be surprised if the 8000 line isn't enough for you.

By the way they have deleted the MLB.TV app from a lot of the Samsung TVs also.

So just because you bought a Samsung and it had MLB.TV when you bought it, the app may now be gone.

Not sure what's going on with the TVs no longer natively supporting a MLB.TV app.

At least for now it looks like the Android TVs are ok.
